Jogunčić leaves SBiH, claims party in Tuzla is interested in suitable rather than capable personnel

One of the more prominent members of the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina in Tuzla, Jasmin Jogunčić, has resigned from all positions in this party, BH news agency Patria learns.

In his resignation, which Patria has in its possession, Jogunčić stated that he disagrees with the policy of appointments to public companies that the party received under its management after entering the coalition with the SDA. He further states that he is embittered and does not want to be part of people who, instead of capable individuals, appoint incapable personnel to leading positions in public enterprises, but who are politically obedient.

- I was appointed to the personnel commission of the Cantonal Council of SBiH. The task of this commission was to select the best among the proposed candidates for any functions that the party receives by entering government. I hoped that the expertise of the candidates would be the most important criterion for assigning any position, that the time had finally come for some new, quality people. Unfortunately, that did not happen – wrote Jogunčić in his resignation.

He further claims that the personnel commission was formed only "for the sake of form", because appointments are agreed upon in advance.

- The appointment of ministers was made without the consent of the commission that was supposed to give proposals. Some individuals were appointed to multiple positions – wrote Jogunčić.

After SBiH entered the coalition with SDA at the cantonal and federal levels, the party was allocated certain positions in some companies with state capital, as well as certain positions in government. Jogunčić claims that people appointed to these positions were determined by the party's top leadership, while other members were not asked for their opinion.

A source from the BH news agency Patria recently revealed that SBiH will soon leave the coalition with SDA, before Izetbegović expels them himself, after which they could lose the positions they received in government as well as in some public companies.
