Jerinić won in Doboj, Grujičić in Srebrenica

(Patria) - The Coalition for Free and Fair Elections "Under the Magnifying Glass" reported to the public at a press conference held at 9:30 PM in Doboj about the voting process until 7:00 PM, the closing of polling stations and voter turnout in the repeated elections in Doboj and Srebrenica. Observers of the "Under the Magnifying Glass" Coalition monitored the voting process unimpeded and recorded open persuasion to vote for a specific political entity or intimidation and pressure on voters at three polling stations in Doboj (038B027, 038B029, and 038B035A) and two polling stations in Srebrenica (105B015 and 105B005).

Voting without valid identification documents was recorded at eight polling stations, five of which were in Doboj and three in Srebrenica. Voters being turned away from polling stations because they were not on the excerpt from the Central Voters' Register was recorded at a third of the polling stations (up to 10 such cases).

Observers of the "Under the Magnifying Glass" Coalition recorded family voting at more than half of the polling stations in both Doboj and Srebrenica (up to 10 cases of this type of irregularity). At 22 polling stations, one person assisted multiple voters in the voting booth, 19 of whom were in Doboj.

Unauthorized persons (e.g., representatives of LIK/LIP, police, representatives of political entities, and/or representatives of local authorities) did not linger at polling stations and disrupt the voting process. The "Bulgarian train" (where voters arrive at the polling station with already marked ballots and take out blank ones) was not recorded at any observed polling station. At three polling stations in Doboj, recommended measures for preventing the spread of COVID-19 were not applied or respected during voting.

The "Under the Magnifying Glass" Coalition has so far been notified of 7 situations that represent potentially serious irregularities in the electoral process. So far, remarks or objections have been recorded at fifteen polling stations in Doboj and one polling station in Srebrenica.

The "Under the Magnifying Glass" Coalition also monitors information on voter turnout. The recorded turnout by 7:00 PM in the repeated elections in Srebrenica was 49.8% (with a margin of statistical error of +/- 6.30% at a 95% confidence interval), and in Doboj 54.7% (with a margin of statistical error of +/- 2.19% at a 95% confidence interval). Preliminary data from a sample of observed polling stations, and taking into account the margin of statistical error, indicate that turnout in Srebrenica and Doboj is approximately 14% lower compared to the regular Local Elections held on November 15, 2020.

The closing of polling stations was mostly carried out in accordance with regulations. Almost all polling stations were closed by 7:15 PM, except for three polling stations in Doboj which were closed after 7:15 PM. At all polling stations that were not closed on time, citizens who were present in front of the polling stations at 7:00 PM were allowed to vote. At all polling stations, all members of the polling boards were present at the closing. According to the latest information from the field, observers of the "Under the Magnifying Glass" Coalition are unimpeded in monitoring the vote counting process.

Preliminary data on the voting results at the observed polling stations for the Mayor of the City of Doboj and the Mayor of the Municipality of Srebrenica show:

- DOBOJ – BORIS JERINIĆ (SNSD) 65.2% (MoE 3.56), CVIJAN FILIPOVIĆ (SDS) 18.3% (MoE 2.10), and SRĐAN TODOROVIĆ (SP) 16.5% (MoE 1.99)
- SREBRENICA – MLADEN GRUJIČIĆ (ZAJEDNO ZA SREBRENICU) 96.3% (MoE 2.86), ALIJA TABAKOVIĆ (SDA) 3.0% (MoE 2.77), MILE JANJIĆ (INDEPENDENT) 0.5% (MoE 0.40), ALEKSANDAR SIMIĆ (INDEPENDENT) 0.2% (MoE 0.22)
