217 mothers received one-time financial aid from Centar Municipality this year

At the beginning of this year, the Mayor of Centar Sarajevo Municipality, Dževad Bećirević, adopted amendments to the Rulebook on the distribution of funds for granting one-time financial aid to mothers from the Centar area. According to the adopted amendments, all mothers who give birth to their first child are entitled to a one-time financial aid of 300 convertible marks, while mothers who give birth to their third or any subsequent child are entitled to 500 marks, announced the Centar Municipality, as reported by Patria.

The amendments to the aforementioned rulebook were made with the aim of enabling as many mothers as possible to receive this type of financial aid, given that the entire project aims to improve the birth rate in the central city municipality.

- That the amendments to the Rulebook have yielded results is evidenced by the fact that in 2016, 217 mothers received one-time financial aid from Centar Municipality, of which 189 mothers received 300 KM for their firstborn child, and 28 received 500 KM for their third and each subsequent child, pointed out the municipal Department for Labor, Social Affairs, Health, Refugees and Displaced Persons, which has been successfully implementing this project since 2013.

In the coming days, for September 2016, the Municipality will make payments of one-time financial aid for an additional 35 mothers. 33 of them will receive 300, and two mothers will receive 500 convertible marks each.

Centar Municipality has allocated 82,600 KM in its 2016 budget for one-time financial aid to mothers.
