One-time aid: 25,300 KM for mothers without regular income

As part of the project of granting one-time financial aid to mothers who are not in permanent employment, 41 mothers from the Centar municipality have so far this year qualified to receive an amount of 300 KM each, while an individual amount of 500 KM has been allocated for 26 mothers, for which a total of 25,300 KM has been allocated from this year's budget of the Centar Municipality, it was announced from the Centar Municipality, reports the Patria News Agency.

The Service for Labor, Health and Social Affairs, Refugees and Displaced Persons of the Centar Municipality has been implementing this project, which aims to improve the birth rate in the central city municipality, since 2013.

-An amount of 40,000 KM is also foreseen in the budget for next year for this purpose. Upon realizing the right to maternity allowance, the case manager provides us with a decision based on which we make a conclusion and final lists with the names of mothers who are recipients of this type of one-time aid. Only mothers with three or more children who are entitled to the amount of 500 KM must provide proof of meeting the income threshold upon our request.

During the last year, we also handed out amounts of 300 KM each to 54 mothers for the birth of their first child, while 28 mothers received 500 KM each for the birth of their third and each subsequent child, for which a total of 30,200 KM was allocated, said Mersida Veiz, professional associate from the field of social protection in the Service for Labor, Health and Social Affairs, Refugees and Displaced Persons of the Centar Municipality.

As stipulated by the regulation on granting this aid to mothers, persons who are not employed and who are entitled to child allowance have the right to one-time aid in the amount of 300 KM, and mothers who give birth to a third and each subsequent child are entitled to aid in the amount of 500 KM if the total income of their household does not exceed the average salary in the Federation for the previous year, the statement reads.
