One member of the BiH Armed Forces in quarantine after returning from Germany

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - As of today, March 13, 2020, no one infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus has been registered in the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of BiH. One member of the Armed Forces of BiH, upon returning from official activities in the Federal Republic of Germany, is currently in quarantine for preventive reasons.

Regarding our cadets and professional military personnel (PVL) undergoing military training abroad, the current situation is as follows:

Italian Republic
Cadets in Italy are in good health. Classes have been suspended, and accordingly, a solution is being sought for the accommodation of two (2) cadets from BiH on the territory of Italy.
Republic of Serbia
All cadets and PVL undergoing training in Serbia are in good health. Starting March 16, outings and entries into military schools are prohibited for cadets and PVL. For now, there are no indications of class suspension.
Republic of Turkey
All cadets and PVL in military schools in Turkey are healthy. There is a possibility that classes will be suspended from March 16. Most likely, everyone will have to stay in military schools without the possibility of leaving.
Republic of Croatia

All cadets and PVL are in good health. Classes will continue in accordance with the plan and program, and security measures, apart from recommendations related to hygiene and epidemic precautions, include: prohibition or restriction of leaving the barracks, and prohibition of leaving Croatia for all military school attendees.
Republic of North Macedonia
All cadets undergoing training in North Macedonia have been sent home, i.e., returned to BiH due to the suspension of classes from March 11 to March 25, 2020. All students are in good health. Classes are proceeding according to plan. They have been presented with lists of critical countries and quarantine obligations if they enter countries on that list.
Republic of Austria
The health status of the cadets is currently good, and there are no indications of the virus. From March 16, all schools and faculties will be closed, with no restrictions on entering or leaving the academy.
Hellenic Republic
All cadets are in good health, are staying in academy facilities, and will be prohibited from leaving the academy until further notice.
Federal Republic of Germany
Cadets in Germany are currently in good health. According to the regular teaching plan, cadets will be on vacation in BiH from March 14 to March 22, 2020. If the cadets come to BiH, they would have to spend 14 days in quarantine, about which they have been informed. Everyone will have to stay within the academy grounds if they do not leave the country.
United States of America
The cadet in the USA is in good health.

The BiH Ministry of Defence also issued a statement today regarding the health status of the BiH Minister of Defence, Sifet Podžić, who, due to health issues caused by fatigue and exhaustion upon returning from a business trip, visited a doctor and, after receiving therapy, was released for home treatment.

"Given that Minister Podžić was in Brussels, at the suggestion of an infectologist, and in accordance with the instructions of the Federal and Cantonal Crisis Staff, although he has no symptoms of coronavirus, he has been placed in self-isolation," the BiH Ministry of Defence announced.
