Jedinstvo from Bihać surprised in the BiH Cup and eliminated GOŠK, Sunday clash between Sloboda and Sarajevo

(Patria) - The footballers of Bihać's Jedinstvo defeated Premier League team GOŠK in the round of 16, thus surprisingly advancing to the quarter-finals of the most massive football competition in BiH.

A rather dull match was played on the difficult pitch of the "Borići" stadium, and both teams had one serious threat to the opponent's goal.

These were long-range attempts, but the nets remained untouched. Since there are no extra times, penalties were taken after the regular time expired, and the team from Bihać had more luck and courage.

GOŠK players missed two penalties, Jedinstvo one, which was enough for a final score of 4:2 and a great celebration for the team from the Una river.

Zrinjski hosted Slavija from East Sarajevo under Bijeli Brijeg and did not allow the guests to even think about an upset. Two goals by Ćuže and one by Savić were enough for a secure placement in the quarter-finals of the BiH Cup.

The last round of 16 match was played today between Posušje and Laktaši, and the Premier League team from Mokri Dolac routinely advanced.

Two goals by Pavković secured a routine advancement in the competition.

Velež defeated Tuzla City on Friday, while the remaining matches will be played on Sunday.

At 1 PM, a spectacle is being prepared in Olovo, where Stupčanica hosts Široki Brijeg, while the derby of this phase of the BiH Cup will be played at Tušanj in Tuzla. Old rivals Sloboda and Sarajevo will face each other.

Premier League teams Sloga and Igman will fight for continuation in the Cup at the stadium in Doboj starting at 4 PM, and Borac will host Zvijezda 09 at the City Stadium in Banja Luka at 6:30 PM.
