Emina's only wish: Please help me save my mother, I don't want to lose her!

Please help me save my mother who is very ill. We have no one who can help us. My mother's father died in the war defending Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was awarded the "Golden Lily" plaque, and today we live without any income.

Please help us because we have nothing to eat. Our electricity will be cut off in three days if we don't pay 180 KM. Mom is sick and she hasn't had the pills she needs to take for seven days. She cannot get up. Please help me save my mother, because I don't want to lose her. My mother needs regular therapy which costs 233 KM, and we don't have it. We have nothing.

This is being asked by 12-year-old Emina Mujkić from Memići near Kalesija.

Little Emina sent a touching message to Patria's editorial office. Despite all the life's hardships she has faced so far, a difficult life, poverty, her mother's illness... the floods destroyed the little furniture they had. Today, Emina and her mother have nothing to sleep on.

Despite everything, the 12-year-old girl is an excellent student. But, unfortunately, she rarely has money for snacks or to bring from home. For days, she has only eaten soup because they have nothing else in the house.  

Therefore, we are publishing this text, believing that good and humane people, who have always shown their big hearts, will help Emina and her mother Šefika, and at least somewhat alleviate their life's hardships and suffering.
