Did Čović's brother-in-law smuggle an infected patient into Mostar hospital through doctors?

By Rasim Belko

The news that coronavirus had arrived in Mostar spread through Herzegovina yesterday, although the Prime Minister of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Nevenko Herceg (HDZ) had stated a few hours earlier that the virus would not cross Ivan.

The patient arrived with his son from Italy, from a ski vacation, and ended up in the Department of Pulmonary Diseases at the University Clinical Hospital Mostar.

This angered ordinary people, who have been killing time in their homes for days to avoid infecting themselves or others.

And then the chaos began. The Department of Pulmonary Diseases was evacuated, and doctors and others who had contact with the infected patient ended up in self-isolation.

According to sources from SKB Mostar, the patient is Velimir Pralas.

Pralas is the brother-in-law (badžo) of HDZ leader Dragan Čović. This explains a lot. Herzegovinian media have written about the family and business ties between Čović and Pralas before.

The irresponsible Pralas, through his brother-in-law and a doctor friend, ended up in the Department of Pulmonary Diseases, where he should not have been.

The entire procedure prescribed by numerous orders and recommendations was skipped.

Pralas should be held criminally responsible, as stipulated by the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Prosecutor's Office of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton is investigating the case.

But what about the persistent problem known as Dragan Čović? Who can now determine the number of infected people in Mostar?

The arrogant, irresponsible, and above all dangerous behavior of the leader of HDZ BiH, Pralas, and the doctors has endangered the public health of the citizens of Mostar and Herzegovina, and beyond.

Another question arises in this entire case.

How did Velimir Pralas cross the border? Aren't they convincing us that everyone coming from hotspots, especially from Italy, is being examined?

Of course, we forgot that Zoran Galić, another in the chain of those belonging to the HDZ controlled by Dragan Čović, is at the head of the BiH Border Police. Perhaps Velimir Pralas also had a special pass with the HDZ BiH stamp there.

After all this, the responsibility and punishment for everyone in the chain of "connections" for Velimir Pralas should be questioned.

Dragan Čović should certainly answer whether he has anything to do with this case, because Herzegovina is in fear after the irresponsible behavior of individuals. And, after Čović's politics, coronavirus will only finish off the already destroyed economy of this part of the country and further drive away the population of the Herzegovinian land.

Because a godfather is a godfather, and Čović is a brother-in-law, and there will be a lot of work for the investigative bodies.
