(Patria) - The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Energy and Environment Sector, and the Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of Sarajevo Canton have signed an Agreement on Cooperation for the implementation of the Project for subsidizing the replacement of coal and other solid fuel stoves/boilers with certified pellet stoves/boilers, heat pumps, and efficient condensing gas boilers in households in Sarajevo Canton.
The reduction of air pollution from individual heating units will be achieved by subsidizing the replacement of stoves and small solid fuel boilers (primarily those using coal) used for heating houses, which are, in the vast majority, inefficient and have high emissions of pollutants into the air, especially sulfur dioxide and particulate matter.
The project will subsidize the purchase of certified pellet stoves/boilers, heat pumps, and efficient condensing gas boilers.
The public call remains open until March 17, 2024, until 5:00 PM, and all details about the public call, criteria, and project details can be found at the link:
