Jasmin Ademović and Seven Other Representatives and Councillors Leave NIP

(Patria) - Seven councillors of the People and Justice party (NIP) in the municipal councils of Vogošća, Centar, Novi Grad and Hadžići and one NIP representative in the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton have resigned from the party due to a "fratricidal war".

Among them are representative in the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton Rusmir Pobrić, councillors in the Municipal Council of Vogošća Emina Džano and Enis Bogilović, councillors in the Municipal Council of Centar Jasmin Ademović, Đenan Mulić and Nermin Kapo, councillor in the Municipal Council of Novi Grad Emina Hasanović and councillor in the Municipal Council of Hadžići Salko Salkić.

In a joint letter to the party, they submitted resignations from all party functions and withdrew from membership in NIP.



"We submit our resignations, among other things, due to internal party distrust and turmoil that have been going on for too long, which we consider the result of various scheming, spinning and causing discord," they stated.

As additional reasons, they cite inconsistency and double standards in relation to individuals and organizations within the party.

They add that in the recent period, a change in party character and culture is visible in the form of radicalization of communication in daily political conflicts, which is increasingly spreading among activists and even certain figures in the public sphere.

"Aware of all the brutality and most base attacks by various opponents that have lasted since the party's inception, we believe that responding in kind leads in the long run to a massive inter-party 'fratricidal' war that leaves lasting consequences on the entire Bosnian social fabric, in which we do not wish to participate," they stated in the announcement.

They emphasize that the reason for leaving is not a move to any other political organization.

"Appreciating the good policies that have been implemented in the past period by NIP officials, to which we have also given our full contribution in various areas, we remain committed to supporting good socially beneficial processes in the coming period, in accordance with our competencies and scope of work," they concluded.
