Strong wind creating snowdrifts in Kupres

Road traffic in our country is satisfactory this morning, with driving on sporadically wet roads, writes the Patria News Agency.

- Compacted snow on the road is present on sections in higher mountain areas, and we highlight the following routes: Ripač-Vrtoče, Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje-Prozor, Livno-Glamoč-Mlinište, and Bosansko Grahovo-Drvar-Bosanski Petrovac. On the Kupres-Šuica-Livno route, drivers are warned of strong winds that are sporadically creating snowdrifts. Due to low temperatures, ice is possible, especially on sections in mountain areas, as well as on bridges and near tunnels, so drivers are urged to exercise maximum caution – says BIHAMK.

On sections passing through cuttings, there is an increased risk of landslides of earth or stones onto the road. Road service crews are intervening on all necessary sections, and we advise drivers to adjust their driving to the road conditions and not to set off without winter equipment.

Due to an activated landslide, traffic is suspended on the section of the M-4 main road Simin Han-Kalesija (in Babajići). An detour via Dubrave is in operation.

Due to Orthodox Christmas, the transport of explosives is prohibited in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina until midnight tonight.
