Jajce Hosts 2015 National Championship in Canoe and Kayak Flatwater

Jajce is the host of the 14th National Championship in canoe and kayak flatwater for 2015, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria

The competition will be held from August 22 to 23, with teams from across Bosnia and Herzegovina participating.

From the Agency for Cultural-Historical and Natural Heritage and Development of Tourist Potentials of the City of Jajce, they stated that the Pliva Lakes are the largest natural water accumulation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and as such enable engagement in numerous water sports.

We hope, they stated from the Agency, that this competition will open the door to international water sports competitions as well, NAP reports.

Jajce has a long tradition in organizing water sports. Thus, on the Pliva Lakes between August 23 and 25, 1963, the European Championship in kayaking was held, and simultaneously an extraordinary World Championship was also held.
