Jaganjac visited the municipalities of Kakanj and Vareš, discussed the allocation of funds from the Assistance Fund

Director of the Federal Fund for Assistance to Disaster-Stricken Areas in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Jasmin Jaganjac visited the municipality of Kakanj today and discussed with Mayor Nermin Mandra the experiences in implementing procedures during the allocation of funds from this Fund, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

It was concluded that it would be useful to organize a meeting in the near future where mayors of municipalities affected by the natural disaster would exchange experiences from the past period and, together with representatives of the Fund, define guidelines for the further implementation of fund allocation.

It was emphasized at the meeting that the Municipality of Kakanj has done a lot on its own to help the endangered population during the natural disaster, provided accommodation for people, allocated locations for building houses, provided housing for several families with donated funds, and formed a unified database of provided assistance.

Representatives of the Municipality of Kakanj proposed several solutions that, if accepted by the Fund's governing bodies, would significantly speed up and simplify the procedures for allocating and implementing assistance.

The meeting was attended by the Assistant Director of the Fund for Finance Zlatan Jugo, Head of the Civil Protection Service of the Municipality of Kakanj Nurudin Hrusto, Head of the Professional Service for the Affairs of the Municipal Mayor Enver Kusić, and members of the Commission for Damage Assessment in the Municipality of Kakanj Alma Bašić, Ermin Hardauš, and Almir Škopo.

On the same topic, Director Jaganjac today spoke with the Mayor of the Municipality of Vareš Avdija Kovačević, with a special emphasis on the possibility of repairing landslides and damaged houses.
