261 inspection conducted, 57 undeclared workers discovered

(Patria) - Inspectors of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH conducted 261 inspections during the period of September 19, 2019, in the Federation of BiH. The inspections were carried out in all 10 cantons, in the areas of: Zavidovići, Doboj Jug, Tešanj, Visoko, Vareš, Žepče, Srebrenik, Tuzla, Gračanica, Gradačac, Kalesija, Lukavac, Živinice, Orašje, Odžak, Domaljevac, Mostar, Čapljina, Jablanica, Stolac, Bihać, Bosanska Krupa, Velika Kladuša, Cazin, Sanski Most, Ključ, Stari Grad, Centar, Novo Sarajevo, Novi Grad, Ilidža, Vogošća, Ilijaš, Hadžići, Goražde, Novi Travnik, Bugojno, Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, Vitez, Donji Vakuf, Busovača, Travnik, Ljubuški, Grude, Posušje, Široki Brijeg, Livno, Tomislavgrad, Drvar, and Bosanski Grahovo.

"During the inspections, inspectors of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH discovered 57 undeclared workers, 56 taxpayers who did not record turnover, 13 taxpayers who did not have a fiscal device installed, and 28 business premises operating without the approval of the competent authority. Due to the identified irregularities: employment of undeclared workers, operation without the approval of competent authorities, absence of a fiscal device, and failure to record turnover via a fiscal device, 41 business premises were sealed, and in 127 cases, misdemeanor orders were issued with a total of fines amounting to 270,150.00 KM. The Tax Administration will continue to carry out activities to control the legality of taxpayers' operations and prevent the grey economy, even on weekends," the Tax Administration announced.

The Tax Administration invites all workers working illegally to report it to the Tax Administration. Only in this way will you be able to realize your legally guaranteed rights: the right to healthcare, the right to pension and disability insurance, and other rights that belong to you based on employment.

"Your response is not 'snitching.' Those who call it 'snitching' do not wish well to you, your neighbors, and our homeland, and they approve of the illegal enrichment of individuals. Do not allow your rights and happiness to be diminished by those who do not declare you and do not pay taxes and contributions, thus deceiving both you and the state, while simultaneously increasing their wealth. Taxes and contributions are also your money. Take a step and help yourself. In this way, you give others the opportunity to help you. The Tax Administration invites all accountants and auditors to report all illegal actions related to the avoidance or non-payment of public revenues by taxpayers for whom they perform activities," it was announced.
