Investigation conducted at the site of the bridge collapse in Gradiška, Prosecutor's Office requested a report

(Patria) - Police officers of the Gradiška Police Administration today, in the presence of the Republican Inspector for Traffic and construction experts, conducted an investigation at the site of the pedestrian path collapse on the bridge in Gradiška.

- Specifically, the Gradiška Police Administration was informed on May 19, 2026, around 1 AM that a part of the bridge in Obala Vojvode Stepe street, city of Gradiška, had collapsed - the statement reads.

The duty prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor's Office Banja Luka was informed about the incident, who stated that a report on the measures and actions taken should be submitted upon completion of the case.

Traffic on the bridge is completely suspended for all participants, as well as in Obala Vojvode Stepe street near the bridge and in Vidovdanska street, under the bridge.

In order to ensure the safety of all traffic participants, the Gradiška Police Administration appeals to all drivers and pedestrians to use alternative routes during the suspension.

Otherwise, the company Putevi Rs is responsible for the maintenance of the bridge.
