Izetbegović's favorites Novalić and Čampara, why Trhulj withdrew

A session of the Presidency of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) will be held in Sarajevo tomorrow, where the proposed candidates for the Prime Minister of FBiH and the Vice President of the Federation will be known, reports the Patria News Agency.

Before the SDA Presidency session, the Cadre Commission will also be held, which will present the proposed names to the members of the Presidency.

As Patria learns, only private entrepreneur Fadil Novalić from Gradačac remains in the running for the federal Prime Minister, as Erdal Trhulj, the current Minister of Energy, finally said "he does not want that position", although a large number of members, i.e. the base, proposed him for this demanding position.

- It is not yet known whether the Cadre Commission will propose any other name besides Novalić. But, I think he will become the Prime Minister. That's how the situation looks now - says a high-ranking party member.

Otherwise, Aljoša Čampara, Bakir Izetbegović's closest associate and advisor, will most likely be delegated as Vice President.

Both candidates, Novalić and Čampara, are precisely Izetbegović's favorites and the team gathered around him.

Trhulj, who is widely known to have managed the ministry he headed excellently, and was rated by the Center for Civil Initiatives as one of the best federal ministers, was also offered to remain at the head of the Ministry of Energy.

However, as Patria learns, he did not want to take on all the responsibility while the appointments in companies, management and supervisory boards, i.e. the cadre policy, are currently handled by the grey eminence of SDA, Asim Sarajlić, and Aljoša Čampara.

Novalić also recently expressed his dissatisfaction at an SDA "gathering", precisely because of this type of policy that is currently in place in this party, but Izetbegović allegedly calmed him down by telling him that he is his favorite, and that no one will interfere with his work.
