Izetbegović in New York with high-ranking EU officials

Chairman of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegović met today in New York with the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the EU and Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, and President of the European Council Donald Tusk.

During the meeting, EU officials expressed satisfaction that Bosnia and Herzegovina has completed its obligations towards the European Union at this stage of the agenda. They congratulated Bosnia and Herzegovina on today's decision of the EU General Affairs Council in Brussels to give our country the green light, i.e., approval for the preparation of the questionnaire for BiH.

Discussions were also held on new tasks facing BiH and further steps towards membership in the European Union, the BiH Presidency announced, reports Patria.
