(Patria) - The SDA Presidency session was held at the party headquarters, and the current political situation in BiH was discussed, as well as the Declaration adopted during the pan-Serbian assembly in Belgrade on June 8th.
"This is a continuation of the Greater Serbian policy aimed at destabilizing BiH and gradually annexing its territory to Serbia. We are witnessing a renewed attempt to use Serbian symbols, the anthem, and the coat of arms as if other citizens in the RS do not exist. Symbols and an anthem that have already been abolished by the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH," said SDA President Bakir Izetbegović.
The aim is for the RS to decide on military neutrality, while decisions have already been made that have set BiH on its path to NATO.
"We have adopted a series of conclusions. We call on the Peace Implementation Council and the states that are witnesses to the Dayton Peace Agreement to urgently stop the dangerous activities of Serbia and the RS entity that undermine Dayton and peace in BiH. We demand sanctions against officials of the Republic of Serbia who implement such policies. We call on the OHR to prevent the announced changes to the name of the city of Srebrenica and its streets.
The institutions of BiH are obliged to inform all relevant international factors about these anti-Dayton activities and to oppose the intentions of the participants of the pan-Serbian assembly by all legal means.
We call on the BiH Prosecutor's Office to stop ignoring the attacks on the constitutional and legal order of BiH. And I especially warn about the material called the separation of the RS entity. We call for all BiH parties and important social actors to gather to resist the political and diplomatic attack on BiH," said Izetbegović.
Adopted conclusions of the SDA Presidency
1. The SDA Presidency assesses that the adopted Draft Budget of BiH institutions for 2024 is a new capitulation of the Trojka (the Three) in relation to the SNSD/HDZ alliance. It is unacceptable that in the current geopolitical and security situation, the budget of the BiH Ministry of Defense and the BiH Border Police is reduced, instead of being significantly increased.
Agreeing to increase the budgets of ministries and agencies headed by SNSD and Elmedin Konaković cadres, and to allocate an additional 30 million KM for the purchase of a building for the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH in Banja Luka from Milorad Dodik's godfather, in order to reach the required amount of 98 million KM, while reducing expenditures for defense, security, or the Srebrenica Memorial Center, best illustrates the overall disastrous policy of the Trojka for the interests of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Bosniak people.
2. The SDA Presidency tasks the SDA Legal Council to analyze the legality of the Trojka and HDZ's attempt to appoint a new management board of Federal Television, and authorized proposers to, if irregularities are found, initiate legal procedures to prevent such an attempt aimed at placing Federal Television as a public service under political control.
SDA has many reasons to be dissatisfied with the editorial policies of numerous media outlets, but it remains firmly committed to the principle that public media services must serve the citizens who finance them, not the authorities or any political party.
3. The SDA Presidency demands that the imposed Government of the Federation of BiH immediately and precisely inform the public about the amounts of enormous borrowing by the Federation of BiH, as well as about the sources, repayment deadlines, maturity dates, and the purpose of using the funds with which they are borrowing from citizens.
4. The SDA Presidency condemns the abuse of public enterprises orchestrated by the HDZ. The presence of a Catholic priest and his blessing at the opening of the premises of the public enterprise "Hrvatske pošte" Mostar is unacceptable. In addition to the controversial name of the public enterprise itself, which cannot be named after one nation, such a move represents further discrimination against the citizens of the Federation of BiH. The presence of the federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić at such an event only further underscores his subservient relationship with the HDZ.
5. The SDA Presidency considers the adoption of amendments to the Law on the Flag, Coat of Arms, and Anthem of the RS in the proposed form to be a criminal offense, and demands a reaction from the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Given the fact that the reintroduction of the "Nemanjić" coat of arms and the "Bože pravde" anthem is in complete contradiction with the earlier decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which declared these symbols discriminatory towards citizens who are not members of the Serb people, SDA will oppose the adoption of this law and use all mechanisms to prevent its adoption.
