Izetbegović: Foreigners won't solve problems, we must be strong

(Patria) - Bakir Izetbegović, president of SDA, attended an iftar with the Cantonal Committee of SDA Tuzla Canton and officials from this region of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After the iftar, they discussed the current situation in BiH and TK, as well as the returnee areas gravitating towards this canton.

– The conflict with Dodik was inevitable, because since 2015 and the adoption of the SNSD Declaration, the goal of his policy has been the destruction of the state and its institutions. It turned out that “Dodik has not changed” as they tried to convince us, that he is not “doing everything for the elections” and that this is a decades-long policy directed against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The situation has escalated, and now is the time to show that the state is stronger than separatist policy – Izetbegović pointed out in a brief address.

He emphasized that the positions of the OHR, USA, EU, and other international factors supporting BiH and condemning Dodik are necessary and welcome, but that problems will not be solved by them.

– Everything will depend on us. We must be strong and organized in every segment, that is the basic prerequisite – Izetbegović stated.
