Izetbegović: Party bodies decide whether SBB enters government

Bakir Izetbegović, president of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), after meetings with the leader of the Alliance for a Better Future, Fahrudin Radončić, could not confirm that the SBB had entered the government, stating that only party bodies can confirm the SBB's entry into the government, reports a reporter for the Patria news agency.

- I think things are heading in that direction. That is my assessment, there is good will, and before that a good interest for things to move in that direction, and that is good for both BiH and Bosniaks, to end a conflict and start cooperation, to create a strong bloc and to have reforms in the next three, and perhaps seven years - said Izetbegović.

He further stated that both parties will hold sessions of their party bodies in the coming days.

- Radončić's and the SBB's offer is truly broad and grand. They are ready to support the government and are already doing so, we saw that in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, they will support the budget rebalancing, even without entering the government itself. They are ready to support this truncated Government of the Federation of BiH as well, but in my opinion that is not a solution. The solution is to form a stable federal government and, across the entire structure, a monolithic authority that would bear responsibility. Not from the sidelines, but together in the political arena, here in the next three or seven years - said Izetbegović.

When asked by a Patria journalist about the agreements with Željko Komšić, president of the DF, Izetbegović said that before the meetings with Radončić, he spoke with Komšić.

- There were meetings with Komšić, and the DF was ready to return to the government on the condition that the court declares the decree adopted by the Government of the Federation of BiH invalid, i.e., to show that the DF is right on that issue. However, we still do not have any ruling - emphasized Izetbegović.
