Izetbegović: SDA and SBB can double reforms and employ 100,000 people

At the traditional New Year's press conference of SDA held today in Sarajevo, the party's president Bakir Izetbegović, summarizing the outgoing year, emphasized, among other things, that many had mocked his election promise of creating 100,000 jobs in the next 10 years, writes the Patria News Agency.

- It turned out to be realistic, as we have been employing 1,000 people per month so far, and the government was formed in March-April. BiH needs 100,000 new jobs already in this mandate, and this is clearly not an unattainable goal, said Izetbegović, but as he emphasized, provided that the SDA and SBB coalition stays together, stability and security in the country are preserved, and the destruction by political forces from RS is stopped.

He pointed out that the approaching of SDA and SBB gave true strength to the coalition, which few expected.

- The decisions of the leaders and leaderships of the two Bosniak parties will likely prove to be historically important for the long-term stabilization of relations and circumstances in BiH and the Balkans - said Izetbegović.

SDA in coalition with SBB, he conveyed, can double the initiated reforms in BiH, but also lead to mass employment in the country.

Commenting on a journalist's question about whether SBB will join the Council of Ministers or if SDA will fill those positions, Izetbegović said:

- Yesterday I had a meeting with Mr. Radončić, a working lunch, and it was agreed that at the beginning of next year, SBB will take over two positions. Mr. Radončić will not be one of the ministers - said Izetbegović.
