Izetbegović with Erdoğan: RS authorities are undermining the Dayton Agreement

(Patria) - Bakir Izetbegović, Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), met today in Istanbul with the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Izetbegović informed Erdoğan about the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as about the unilateral unconstitutional activities of the authorities of the RS entity, which undermine the Dayton Peace Agreement.

They also discussed negotiations on amendments to the Constitution and electoral legislation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The interlocutors paid special attention to strengthening economic cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey, with a particular focus on the project of building the Sarajevo – Belgrade highway. It was noted that it is necessary to urgently begin the implementation of this project, given that the required credit funds have already been secured.

Izetbegović thanked Erdoğan for the support of the Republic of Turkey to Bosnia and Herzegovina on the political and economic front.
