Izetbegović meets with ambassadors of Visegrad Group countries on post-flood recovery

Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegović received the ambassadors of the Visegrad Four countries, the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to BiH Jan Pščenica, the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to BiH Jozef Pandur, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to BiH Tomáš Szunyog, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to BiH Andrzej Krawczyk, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to BiH Iztok Grmek, the Press Service of the Presidency of BiH announced.

The meeting discussed ways to address the consequences of the recent catastrophic floods, the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the process of Euro-Atlantic integration of our country.

The interlocutors, among other things, agreed on the need for the earliest possible reconstruction of parts of the country devastated by the floods. They assessed it as necessary to invest additional efforts in stabilizing the political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, through policies that insist on compromise and acceleration of the Euro-Atlantic integration process of our country.

Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegović thanked for the assistance of the countries whose ambassadors attended today's meeting, and invited the governments they represent to participate in the international donor conference for aid to flood-affected areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He emphasized a clear commitment to providing care for the affected population, improving economic conditions in the country, as well as accelerating the process of Euro-Atlantic integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the statement said, Patria reports.
