
Chairman of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegović today received a delegation of the Judo Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which included coach Branislav Crnogorac, multiple medal winner in junior and senior competitions Larisa Cerić, and Secretary General Arijana Jaha.
Chairman Izetbegović congratulated Cerić on her recently won title of Vice-Champion of Europe and emphasized that judokas from Bosnia and Herzegovina have made an exceptional contribution to the international affirmation of our country in the last two decades, according to the statement, reports NAP.
Coach Crnogorac spoke about the future plans of the Federation and our best judokas, and stressed that special focus is on preparations for the next Olympics, where, based on current results, it is realistic to expect the first medal for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He also announced the organization of the next World Judo Championship for cadets, which is expected to be held in Sarajevo in 2015, with the participation of competitors from 90 countries.
It was jointly stated that institutions at all levels in BiH should provide more significant support to top-level sports, which is of great importance for the representation of our country in European and world contexts, according to the statement, reports Patria.
