Izetbegović calls on pro-Bosniak parties to unite against Dodik's referendum

The president of the Party of Democratic Action, Bakir Izetbegović, called on all pro-Bosniak oriented parties to unite and oppose Milorad Dodik's referendum on the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH, reports the BiH news agency Patria. He also called on the international community to use its authority and stop the further disintegration of BiH.

Izetbegović told a press conference in Sarajevo that the referendum on the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH, adopted by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, is the greatest destruction of Bosnia and Herzegovina since the Dayton Peace Agreement to date.

- Milorad Dodik has been destabilizing BiH with his rhetoric for almost a decade. For years, he has been unsuccessfully trying to abolish or limit the Court of BiH on the territory of RS, because he is afraid that one day he will have to answer before that court for the crime and corruption committed during his rule - said Izetbegović. He added that Dodik is playing a selfish game, producing conflicts and crises to divert attention from the difficult economic situation in which RS finds itself, which was caused by Dodik's rule and for which the president of RS now has no solution.

- The facts show that the citizens of RS have never lived harder - said Izetbegović.

He confirmed to journalists once again that he will travel to Belgrade on Wednesday, where he will meet with Serbian Prime Minister Vučić.

- Vučić needs to be encouraged to continue with the conciliatory rhetoric he has started - said Izetbegović. Responding to journalists' questions about the crisis in the Government of the Federation of BiH, Izetbegović said that SDA is working on establishing new coalition partners who will stabilize the work of the Government of the Federation of BiH, writes NAP.
