Izetbegović: BiH's patriotic forces must not back down from Milorad Dodik's log politics

(Patria) - After the regular session of the Presidency of the Party of Democratic Action held today in Sarajevo, the party president Bakir Izetbegović addressed the attendees and presented the adopted conclusions.

- The first relates to what Milorad Dodik and the regime from RS are doing. The SDA has called on the international community, the Peace Implementation Council, the OHR, BiH judiciary, and patriotic parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina not to back down from the arrogant log politics persistently pursued by Milorad Dodik. That log politics put logs on the road before the war, and today it puts them on NATO, the EU path, decisions of the Constitutional Court, and the OHR. The international community and the BiH judiciary have long backed down from such politics. With such policies, one can only be firm and decisive – said Izetbegović.

He also announced the filing of criminal charges against Milorad Dodik and all those who participate in it, if funds are allocated from the RS budget and the celebration of the unconstitutional holiday of January 9th, banned by the Constitutional Court, is financed and held.

- Regarding the incredible statements of the US Ambassador Michael Murphy, that the SDA blocked the Federation, that the SDA controls the judiciary, that I put my own financial interest ahead of the state's interest, that I managed OSA in a terrible way, without a single argument for a year and a half. That won't work, as they say, you can't be a little bit pregnant; you either are or you aren't. If it is true, then I have no business in politics or in freedom. And it is not true, because he will not find a single argument for it, nor a single witness – stated Izetbegović and continued:

- He made a mistake, he brings great shame upon himself and the superpower he represents in BiH. The mistake was to treat the SDA like this, because the SDA has always been the engine, and such a party is removed in elections.

Izetbegović stated that all the attacks and the campaign against the SDA are intended to divert attention from the failed project of Ambassador Murphy and part of the international community, and "he persuaded them to undertake this project".

- And of course, the failed project of the "Trojka". I think the "Trojka" has not managed to complete even 10 percent of what it promised in the year of power – he emphasized.

The SDA President stressed that a thorough reform of the BiH judiciary is needed, and that this party constantly insists on it.

- We are witnessing the constant dismissal of prosecutors for reasons, the "Potkivanje" affair, prosecutors taking money or mobile phones from cases, war criminals escaping from BiH, and at the same time, the arrest of the President of the Court of BiH and former director of OSA was carried out in a shameful manner. No one is above the law, but likewise, no one is guilty until proven so through a fair trial – said Izetbegović.

He also spoke about the SDA's proposal for amendments to the Election Law, which he said was of high quality, and reminded that it was not made after the OHR's call but based on the order of the SDA Presidency from December 1st.

- Will those who swear by the European path, and this is one of the more important steps on that path, be ready to prevent election manipulations and theft together with us, we will see. The day after tomorrow is the day of truth – he announced.
