Izetbegović responded to Čubrilović: State problems are resolved in state institutions

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), Bakir Izetbegović, responded today to the President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nedeljko Čubrilović, to his invitation to address the entity parliament session, the SDA announced.

"I thank you for your invitation to address the session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska on the topic of the political and economic situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As you know, I am a member of the Collegium of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we have already discussed the aforementioned topic in that body, and I am convinced that we will continue to do so, because the blockade that has been unnecessarily imposed brings no good to anyone. 'Finding the most acceptable solutions for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina' is the responsibility of state institutions, not entity ones, and can only be considered in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other competent state institutions," Izetbegović states in his letter to Čubrilović.

Izetbegović adds that the SDA is represented in the NSRS by "a number of very experienced and capable deputies who can make a constructive contribution to resolving the situation we are in as a society and a state, but only in the part relating to the RS entity".

"All of us in the SDA want to get out of the crisis as soon as possible, and we see it in a simple formula. All that is needed is for no one to question the unquestionable values and categories - the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the rulings of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Court of Human Rights, the Dayton Peace Agreement, including the indispensable position of the High Representative, the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, and that we do not discriminate against each other on ethnic or any other basis. Therefore, I propose that at the next session, as a first step in this direction, you repeal the unconstitutional Law on Medicines and Medical Devices of the RS, as well as the conclusions that violate the Dayton Peace Agreement and undermine the constitutional and legal order of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The abandonment of blockades and the withdrawal of unconstitutional laws and conclusions are the basic prerequisites for improving the current political and economic situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina," Izetbegović conveyed in his letter to Nedeljko Čubrilović.
