Izetbegović on the Growth Plan: Brussels should accept the proposal in which it also participated

(Patria) - The regular session of the Main Board of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) was held in Sarajevo today.

Addressing a press conference after the session, SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović commented on the recent statement by the Chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željka Cvijanović, in Brussels that BiH should strengthen cooperation with NATO.

- The day after that, the Annual Plan was submitted. Therefore, it is obvious that the Serbian side is also more open to cooperation with NATO. They are trying to present it as cooperation, but these are actually annual action plans. BiH is a candidate for membership, it is no longer about cooperation - said Izetbegović.

Speaking about the Growth Plan, he stated that at today's session of the Main Board, it was proposed that Brussels accept the proposal in which it also participated, which includes 113 reforms, the last two of which relate to the Constitutional Court and the abolition of the ethnic veto in the decision-making process.

- To approve, therefore, the complete list, the reform agenda, to approve the funds, but not to release them until these two final conditions are resolved. This is about the caprice of the authorities, the regime from the RS, which is stopping the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina and must be subjected to certain sanctions.

I think this would be the way, to create a strong carrot for BiH, which is more needed by the authorities in the RS than by the authorities in the Federation of BiH. Our four prime ministers have not given up on these two conditions, and as far as I know, the Troika has not given up on filling the Constitutional Court and implementing its rulings - said Izetbegović.

Asked about his health condition, he said he feels well.

- Nothing serious. I did not have any special symptoms that are, for example, associated with a pre-infarction or infarction condition. A minor discomfort, so I decided to get examined, because I almost never get examined. And then they determined that some kind of, as they say, clearing was needed. They did it, and here I am, we move on - added Izetbegović.
