Izetbegović on Dodik's response: We will have a crisis, but we will not cause it

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - SDA President Bakir Izetbegović said at today's press conference that Bosniaks have no place in the laws or institutions of Republika Srpska.

- Returnees are insulted, called occupiers, religious officials are insulted, Republika Srpska is called the second Serbian state in the Balkans.

Izetbegović said that the threats of RS secession, referendums, and anti-Dayton activities are time to stop.

- Mr. Dodik said a year ago that he would look for the weakest link among Bosniaks with whom he would form a government. SDA will certainly not sell BiH's interests, its path towards the EU and NATO, for the sake of government positions - said Izetbegović. 

He called on the international community to help create entities in which Bosniaks and Croats would have equal rights.

- Why was the OHR not concerned when January 9th was celebrated. Whatever the Constitutional Court decides, we will accept it – said Izetbegović, stating that he did not consult with other political parties on this request.

When asked if he expects a blockade in the State Parliament, given that Dodik is meeting with representatives of parliamentary parties today, and important decisions in the BiH Parliament, he said:

- We will have a crisis, only we will not cause it. You cannot say that you caused the crisis because you are seeking justice, because you are acting according to the law. We will certainly not stop fighting for our rights as we see them in accordance with the law and the constitution – said Izetbegović.

The SDA president said that the election of the Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office was also an "expression of dominance".
