Izetbegović did not want to be in the Presidency, cited fatigue, then a turnaround occurred

Bakir Izetbegović, the current Chairman of the BiH Presidency and candidate for the Bosniak member of the Presidency in the upcoming elections, did not intend or want to run for this position, which he himself admitted in 2008 while guesting on a show, reports the Patria News Agency.

At the time, Izetbegović, answering the question of whether he would run for a member of the Presidency in 2010, said that he was "tired and exhausted".

- I did not have such plans, and I got a little tired, because I am constantly getting out of things and apologizing. I don't know how I will think in two years and what time can do. I don't have those plans, but I say we will see what happens in the party. I really cannot assess what time brings. But, I have not planned such things for myself in the future, but many things have happened in my life that I did not plan at all, and little of what I did plan has happened. I would like to avoid difficult tasks that exhaust a person, that drain him and ruin his family life – Izetbegović said at the time.

However, clearly much has changed, so in the meantime he has also rested and, after one term, wants a new one, with the fact that there are no longer any similar statements as in 2008, when he literally said that he was tired and wanted to avoid a difficult task. To this day, he has not explained why he changed his decision.
