Izetbegović: I don't want to settle scores with Čović through the media

Bakir Izetbegović, SDA Deputy President, stated for journalists before the start of today's session of the party's Main Board in Sarajevo that negotiations on the distribution of ministerial positions could intensify next week, writes the Patria News Agency.

-The demands are too high, but SDA will not lose at the negotiating table what it won in the October elections.

I don't know exactly yet, and I don't want to settle scores or make agreements with Mr. Dragan Čović through the media, but I know that everyone expects strong ministries, said Izetbegović.

He added that the implementation of election results might be going too slowly, but he hopes it will be faster than in previous years.

Asim Sarajlić, President of the Personnel Commission, stated that the commission has not discussed names for individual ministries because the leaders of the parties forming the government have not yet agreed on who gets what.

-SDA has quality solutions for any position, and I am convinced that once we know which ministries belong to us, we will offer names within a few days.

As for the Council of Ministers, I know we will not give up the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and I would not prejudge what the party leaders will discuss, said Sarajlić, adding that they will seek as many positions in the FBiH Government as guaranteed by the Constitution.
