Izetbegović: I don't expect Čampara to remain in SDA after everything

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Pre-election activities and the Council of Ministers of BiH, as well as Aljoša Čampara's resignation, were the main topics of today's session of the SDA Collegium.

SDA President Bakir Izetbegović commented on Čampara's resignation to reporters in front of the party headquarters: "Čampara has submitted an irrevocable resignation. The Main Board will accept it because it appointed him. As for what will happen with Čampara next, I don't know and I cannot predict. SDA gave him a chance, an opportunity, support. How he will reciprocate, we will see. The SDA Sarajevo Cantonal Board will deal with it further."

Commenting on Čampara's accusations of corruption and nepotism within the party, the SDA leader said that these are not the real reasons why he might be leaving SDA.

"I spoke with Čampara in recent days, I had a conversation with him before these decisions of his. I know the reasons for his decision, but I wouldn't talk about them. So far, we have had five or six people leave SDA, and then there are always some dissatisfactions, with democracy or lack thereof in SDA, with the path it is taking. Then we go to the elections and SDA gets its 310,000 votes. Čampara can make his decisions, but we can see where his predecessors are, how they fared, how many votes they got, where they are, what they are doing, and where SDA is – stated Izetbegović.

Izetbegović does not expect Čampara to remain in SDA after everything that has been said.
