Izetbegović: We can live together in this country, let's preserve peace and stability

(Patria) - Bakir Izetbegović, SDA president, performed the Bayram prayer at the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque in Sarajevo.

In a statement to the media after the Bayram prayer, he said, among other things, that God separated us into nations so that we get to know each other, not to fight each other and cause problems for one another.

"Here in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the thousand years of its existence, we have only had short periods of conflict. We can live together in this country, we have learned to live together, after all, we were once one nation. And aware of these facts, let us strive to preserve peace, stability, and build a more prosperous and better country," Izetbegović emphasized.

He congratulated Bayram to all Muslims in the world and wished all the best to all people, adding that on this day we should also remember the people suffering in Gaza whose Bayram is different.
