(Patria) - The President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović met today in Tuzla with the leadership and members of the Cantonal Board of SDA Tuzla Canton (TK).
The meeting discussed the work of the TK Government and the parliamentary majority. The President of the Cantonal Board of SDA TK Šekib Umihanić and the Prime Minister of TK Irfan Halilagić presented the most important activities of the TK Government and plans for 2025, with a special focus on infrastructure projects, improving the quality of services at UKC Tuzla, and further strengthening security capacities.
Special attention was paid to road connectivity between Tuzla Canton and Sarajevo Canton, Zenica-Doboj Canton, and Central Bosnia Canton. In this context, it was pointed out that the current convocation of the FBiH Government completely lacks interest in the realization of these projects.
President Izetbegović, speaking about current developments at the state level, recalled the crucial role of SDA in the dismissals of representatives of the ruling coalition from the Council of Ministers, the leadership of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, and parliamentary committees, while some officials of the Trojka coalition were abstaining.
He emphasized that SDA will initiate and support the dismissal of the current government, whose first two years in office have been marked by trading positions at the expense of Bosniaks and the pro-Bosnian bloc, adopting bad legal solutions and decisions in the interest of SNSD and HDZ, allocating money to godfathers and other relatives of government officials, and canceling the Summit of Western Balkan and EU leaders, which has caused irreparable damage to the international reputation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Attempts by the Trojka parties to blame SDA for the alleged intention to save their coalition partners from SNSD were jointly assessed as a poor attempt to divert attention from the fact that it was precisely the Trojka, with its concessions and relinquishing of positions, that strengthened the position of SNSD at the state level, and that SDA has no intention of participating in the formation of new ruling majorities in the current mandate under these circumstances and on the same foundations on which the current state government was formed.
After the meeting, Izetbegović and the delegation of the Cantonal Board of SDA TK laid flowers at the Tuzla Gate.
