Izetbegović from Stolac stated: This is not exclusively anyone's space

Bakir Izetbegović, SDA president, visited Stolac today where he met with Bosniak political representatives, members of the SDA Stolac Executive Board and members of the Initiative for Stolac, writes Patria. This is Izetbegović's first visit to Stolac after the elections in this municipality were interrupted on October 2nd. The Central Election Commission (CIK) has not yet made a decision on repeating the election process, and appeals from candidates removed from the lists by the CIK are still active. The candidate for mayor, Salmir Kaplan, as well as several candidates for the Municipal Council, were removed.

- Stolac belongs to everyone who lives in this city. This is not exclusively anyone's space. It belongs to everyone who was born here. We support such a Stolac and the Initiative for Stolac, which aims to enable Stolac to be like that. We will not support the Stolac budget being passed anywhere but in Stolac. We will not condone the CIK's mistakes regarding this city; they have taken it upon themselves to be judges and investigators. I urge them not to go in this direction. Let them enable elections to be held in this city - Izetbegović said.

Izetbegović left open the possibility of new appeals and lawsuits against the CIK and the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH.

The SDA president said that there was an agreement with the HDZ regarding Mostar, but that the "HDZ left them".

- We had agreed on something with the HDZ regarding Mostar, as requested by the PIC. That it would be a unified city with one council. Then they would draw sub-units, not new municipalities. Something that is completely common in the EU.

- Regarding Stolac, we have not reconciled our views. We tried, we talked, but we did not find a common solution. Everyone must be given a chance.

Izetbegović also commented on a member of Foreign Affairs and said that "there is nothing from the division of BiH, nothing from new entities, and no internal divisions whatsoever".

Answering a question about the dissatisfaction of four state deputies and their departure from the SDA Club, Izetbegović said:

- We will continue to talk with them; I think this is being exaggerated. Some aim to show that there is a problem within the SDA as well. No one responsible in the SDA should aim to weaken the SDA's position - he said.
