Izetbegović and Zeybekci: How to Increase Foreign Trade Exchange Between BiH and Turkey

BiH Presidency member Bakir Izetbegović received the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey, Nihat Zeybekci, in Sarajevo today, reports the Patria News Agency.

Minister Zeybekci informed Izetbegović about the results of the meeting of the Trilateral Trade Committee between Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Serbia, and the Republic of Turkey, held on 19.10.2015, in Belgrade, and the Business Forum of companies from the three countries, held the following day in Sarajevo. Izetbegović expressed satisfaction with these trilateral meetings and the need for them to continue and develop.

Bilateral relations between BiH and Turkey were also discussed, particularly in the field of economy, and possible forms of cooperation were analyzed, with the aim of increasing the level of foreign trade exchange. Special attention was paid to the possibilities of expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture and processing of agricultural products, it was announced from the BiH Presidency. 

BiH Presidency member Bakir Izetbegović thanked the authorities of the Republic of Turkey for the approved quotas for the export of meat and edible oil from BiH to the Republic of Turkey. He emphasized that such a move is significant for the economy of BiH, but also for overall relations in the country.
