Izetbegović: Two of the three "trojka" parties were not in Neum, and now they are all calling us to pull them out of quicksand

(Patria) - The SDA Presidency held a session to discuss the current political situation. SDA President Bakir Izetbegović spoke at a press conference about the work of the state government. He emphasized that out of the 50 laws they announced, 12 were adopted, and six are amendments and changes.

"Not a single law proposed by the members of the 'trojka' has been put before the BiH Parliament. Thus, they have been ignored by the SNSD-HDZ duo. The Council of Ministers has only worked when it suited them, with the consent and support of the 'trojka'. They have stopped talking about the NATO path, nor have they created a document that leads us forward. The budget for 2024 has not even been proposed for 2024, and this is the inaction of the Council of Ministers of BiH," said Izetbegović.

Speaking about the meeting of the state coalition at Milorad Dodik's private estate in Bakinci, the SDA president said that everything the 'trojka' has conceded so far, even at the FBiH level, is repairable.

"But what they have started to do in Bakinci would be irreparable and would cause alarming damage to BiH when it comes to the Presidency, the Constitutional Court of BiH, what they intend to do, and about which Čović said they have a recorded conversation, so whoever is interested in hearing what they said can, the Central Election Commission, etc.

When we had those negotiations in Neum, two of the three parties in the 'trojka' said they would not participate. They said it was the business of the ruling coalition. Now that they have gotten themselves into trouble in Bakinci, when they have received reactions from people in BiH and the international community, they are calling everyone to help them out of the quicksand. Let them say what they negotiated in Bakinci, or let them propose it to the BiH Parliament. They owe it to the public to say. If they don't say it, Mr. Čović will probably announce it," he said.

He added that these are the most important changes in the structure of the state, the constitution, and the way fundamental institutions function.

"The Constitutional Court of BiH has been blocking secession for two years. All of this was supposed to be changed in a way that would effectively leave BiH defenseless," he said.

Speaking about the non-arrival of Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković at the BiH Presidency due to Željko Komšić, he stated that it showed disrespect for the supreme institution of BiH.

"It's not about Komšić, it's about the Presidency and the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, and then it is shameful that state representatives continued to meet with him. Some do not like the way of election as regulated by Dayton, but we respect both our country and our neighbors."

Regarding the Southern Gas Interconnection, Izetbegović said that the SDA Presidency has tasked the SDA club in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament to initiate the Law on the Southern Interconnection into parliamentary procedure.

When asked why some SDA representatives supported the federal budget, Izetbegović said that the representatives did not have instructions from the party on how to vote.

"I think they should have agreed in the club on how to vote and that they should not have done that. If these things happen again, the party leadership will react," he said.

Speaking about the Tuzla SDA, Izetbegović said that he is not fully informed about the conflict that has arisen and that those who participated in it will provide explanations.
