Izetbegović: Dodik and his chauvinistic policies will leave, but the state of BiH and its holidays will remain

SDA President Bakir Izetbegović spoke today with RS entity Vice-President Ćamil Duraković and Bosniak political representatives in Srebrenica Hamdija Fejzić, Alija Tabaković, and Nermin Alivuković.

The dismissal of Hamdija Fejzić from the position of Deputy Mayor of Srebrenica Municipality, on the grounds that he organized the commemoration of state holidays in Srebrenica, was jointly condemned, and steps to strengthen the position of Bosniaks in the city where genocide was committed against them were discussed. It was assessed that the unity of all pro-Bosnian forces is the basic prerequisite for this.

It was stated that Fejzić's dismissal, as well as the ban on celebrating the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the RS entity, represent a continuation of the aggression against Bosniaks, the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, its laws, and the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH.

"With constant attacks on everything that is Bosnian-Herzegovinian and Bosniak, the regime led by Dodik is trying to tire out the patriotic forces in order to achieve its goals outlined in the SNSD Resolution from 2015 on the division of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He will certainly not succeed in this, because Dodik and his chauvinistic policies will leave, but the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its holidays will remain.

The only ones Dodik will tire out are the citizens living in the RS entity. It will become clearer to them day by day that one cannot live off his Serbian quasi-patriotism and nationalism, and that Dodik's goals will never be achieved. The cancellation of events commemorating BiH Statehood Day will not cancel the due dates of enormous debts that are suffocating the RS entity and are the result of Dodik's rule," said Izetbegović.

The result of that rule, as Izetbegović stated, are also his private properties and companies, airplanes, a budget of 50 million KM for personal use, expensive parades, a small group of very wealthy Dodik's associates and relatives, and a huge majority of the people who, on average, have 20 percent lower incomes and pensions compared to the Federation of BiH.

"Such a policy will tire out the people and will soon come to be paid for," said the SDA president.
