Izetbegović: DF is not a minor party and I don't want us to communicate through the media

Bakir Izetbegović, Deputy President of SDA, told reporters in Sarajevo today that he had invited Željko Komšić, leader of DF, to meetings several times, but received no response, writes the Patria News Agency.

- There is no reason for him to be angry with the Party of Democratic Action, because we have not agreed on anything so far, nor have we sat in any meetings where anything was agreed upon that should offend DF. I have sat with Mr. Bosić, of course with Ivanić, with Čović, and most of all with Komšić. And I would have sat with Mr. Komšić even more if he had been there.

I offered him a meeting on Friday to agree, not to correspond through the media and send such messages. I would have preferred if we had met over the weekend. I am always available. I have asked him for a meeting several times so far, but I haven't managed to get one. This time too, it was 'wait until Monday', and then on Monday I found out through the media what DF had to say – said Izetbegović.

Otherwise, an informal meeting of Bakir Izetbegović, Dragan Čović, Mladen Ivanić, and Mladen Bosić is announced for this evening.

- I think Bosić, Čović, and Ivanić will meet. I was also invited to that meeting, but due to private reasons, I cannot attend. That should not offend anyone. These are agreements before serious matters begin. It is easier to agree in pairs or threes.

Tomorrow, there will be a meeting with about 15-20 people, a serious and thorough one, but nothing can be agreed upon without all the actors. Of course, DF is not a minor party. It has equal rights as all others – added Izetbegović, specifying that official meetings of the coalition party leaders will be held tomorrow or the day after tomorrow in the afternoon.
