30,000 KM Allocated: Centar Municipality Contributes to Youth Employment

Determined to create a favorable environment and make a concrete contribution to the faster employment of young educated staff, the Centar Municipality of Sarajevo has, upon the initiative of councillors adopted in May 2016, allocated 30,000 marks in this year's budget for two educational projects, it was announced from the Centar Municipality, reports the Patria News Agency.

These are the "Project for Reducing Youth Unemployment through Packages Offered by Networks INT Ltd. Sarajevo" and the "Business Incubator" project, which will be implemented in cooperation with the Centar Municipality by the Association for Development and Affirmation of Society BNL (Building New Lives).

Regarding the first project, a protocol on cooperation for its implementation was signed by the Mayor of Centar Municipality Dževad Bećirević, Director of Networks INT Ltd. Sarajevo Bojana Škrobić-Omeragić, and Director of the Public Institution Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton Midhat Osmanbegović. The signatories of the protocol recognized a common interest in providing quality education to unemployed persons and skills that are in demand on the labor market.

The goal of the cooperation between these three project partners is to enable unemployed young people from the Centar municipality area to develop their ideas, entrepreneurial spirit, and business skills at the premises of Networks INT Ltd. (Skenderpašina 1), and to enable them to connect with local and global companies, all with the aim of reducing youth unemployment and improving the economic situation in the country.

The Centar Municipality is financing this project with 20,000 marks, while the Cantonal Employment Service, through mediation from the registry of unemployed persons from the Centar municipality area, will provide young personnel to participate in this education.

A protocol on cooperation for the "Business Incubator" project, financed by the Centar Municipality with 10,000 marks, was signed by Mayor Dževad Bećirević and Aida Akagić-Hodžić, president of the Association for Development and Affirmation of Society BNL (Building New Lives), which is the implementer of the project.

The main goals of the "Business Incubator" project are to raise young people's awareness of the need for lifelong learning and business skills development, and to train them for practical action in the business world and a proactive approach in the job search process and considering self-employment opportunities by starting their own businesses.
