Betrayal of the state served, foreigners calling to the table

SARAJevo, (Patria) - US representative for the Election Law reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina Matthew Palmer and Executive Director of the European External Action Service (EEAS) for Western Europe, Western Balkans and Turkey Angelina Eichhorst have arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina where they will start a new round of talks with domestic political actors today.

Previous talks held in recent months have yielded no results, and there is no doubt that this time too, the focus of the talks will be directed towards finding a modality by which HDZ's racist proposal for amendments to the BiH Election Law and the so-called legitimate representation of the people through the deepening of ethnic discrimination in the BiH electoral system would be accepted. It is no secret that the Executive Director of the European External Action Service (EEAS) for Western Europe, Western Balkans and Turkey Angelina Eichhorst is completely in line with HDZ's racist electoral principles, and that behind closed doors she advocates for the formation of three ethnic electoral units in BiH and two ethnic electoral units in FBiH, which largely explains her closeness with Željana Zovko, an HDZ MEP known for her racist and chauvinistic outbursts against Muslims. Angelina Eichhorst is also in the good graces of the Hungarian Oliver Varhelyi, European Commissioner for Enlargement, who is directly superior to the Head of the EU Delegation in BiH Johann Sattler.

Following the end of the last round of talks, which ended unsuccessfully, according to Patria's findings, Matthew Palmer was surprised by the hard stances of the party leaders who did not deviate from their initial positions, and he found the culprit in the person and work of the Head of the European Union Delegation in Sarajevo, Johann Sattler. As our sources revealed, Palmer criticized Sattler because he allegedly had firm beliefs that Dragan Čović, the leader of HDZ, would eventually give in. Patria exclusively learns that the model for amending the BiH Election Law was already drafted several months ago between Dragan Čović - Fahrudin Radončić - EU Delegation in BiH, and that in this regard, it was presented to international officials through secondary diplomatic channels as the easiest possible option, by which the demands of HDZ would be met, which explains the zealous advocacy of the SBB leader for HDZ's so-called legitimate representation and his lobbying in SDA and SDP with the aim of meeting HDZ's demands under the pressure of international officials.

Also, as Patria learns, this proposal has not been met with understanding in the aforementioned parties, but strong pressure is still being exerted by the Čović - Radončić - Sattler axis on the aforementioned actors. The betrayal of the state through the acceptance of HDZ's proposals has been served. Foreigners are calling to the table, for a signature.
