ELECTION (TALKS) IN NEUM Entire Hotel Marea Booked, Participants Have Access to Spa, Saunas, Pool

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - If you planned to stay in Neum this weekend, by all means avoid the area around Hotel Marea where talks on amendments to the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be held over the next three days. 

International mediators Matthew Palmer and Angelina Eichhorst with their entourage, as well as OSCE representatives, have already arrived at the hotel. The arrival of party delegations from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which have agreed to negotiations while state institutions are blocked and talks are moved far from official institutions, is also expected. Security is providing protection for the area around the hotel and the hotel itself, and it remains to be seen how much access journalist teams will be allowed.

According to information from Patria, Hotel Marea will not be accessible, nor can rooms be reserved. The hotel says they have no available rooms, even though it is January!

Hotel Marea has 89 rooms, of which seven are suites, a large fitness centre, an entertainment room, two conference halls, a Spa centre, saunas and relaxation rooms, as well as an indoor and outdoor pool, and numerous other facilities. It is a luxury hotel that opened last year. 

The talks in Neum will be attended by SDA, HDZ BiH, SBB, NIP, and NES, while SDP BiH, DF, and Our Party have decided not to negotiate while the state blockade lasts, and proposals to remove discrimination from the Election Law and the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina have not been considered.
