Electoral crash of Marjanović and Hadžikadić's political movements in Sarajevo: Minister Mesihović received 58 votes

(Patria) - Damir Marjanović's Movement For New Generations, in coalition with Mirsad Hadžikadić's Platform for Progress, experienced an electoral crash in the local elections.

According to the results published on the CEC website, PZP-ZNG did not pass the census for any council in the Sarajevo Canton where they had a list, except in Centar where PZP ran independently.

The For New Generations list in Ilidža received a total of 217 votes.

For the Novi Grad Municipal Council, the PZP-ZNG list received 933 votes, and on the list was the current Minister of Science, Higher Education and Youth in the Sarajevo Canton Government, Adna Mesihović, who received 58 votes. According to current results, this list did not manage to pass the 3 percent census and remained without a mandate.

In Vogošća, the list received 121 votes.

The Platform for Progress ran independently with a list in Centar and received 440 votes, failing to pass the census.

In Novo Sarajevo, the Platform for Progress list won 772 votes, which will most likely be enough for one mandate.

The joint candidate for the mayor of Novo Sarajevo for PZP-ZNG was Afan Kalamujić, the Minister of Finance of the Sarajevo Canton. According to the CEC results, he won 1,365 votes.

As a reminder, the Platform for Progress won two mandates in the municipalities of Novi Grad, Novo Sarajevo, Centar, Stari Grad in the 2020 elections, and one mandate each in Vogošća and Hadžići.

It should be noted that Marjanović, based on one vote in the Sarajevo Canton Assembly (his own), received two ministries in the Sarajevo Canton Government after the Party of Social Democracy was removed from the Sarajevo Canton Government. After the issue surrounding the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which closed its doors due to financial problems, became complicated last summer, some MPs from the SDP publicly announced reconstructions of the Sarajevo Canton Government after the elections.

However, considering the difficult financial situation in which the Sarajevo Canton finds itself, and that Minister Kalamujić has data on who was the most extravagant, as evidenced by the audit report, it is certain that this reconstruction will not happen.
