Electoral lists: Two parties have a candidate with the same name, Salko Sokolović

Although the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina will publish the certified candidate lists in official gazettes and media by August 28, the lists have already been sent to the parties. Thus, „Dnevni avaz“ in today's edition published the lists of four parties (SBB - Fahrudin Radončić, DF – Željko Komšić, SDP, SDA), reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

What is interesting when reviewing the names on the lists, in electoral unit 2, SBB proposed a candidate named Salko Sokolović, while SDA also nominated Salko Sokolović for that area. Such cases could cause some confusion among voters. However, when asked whether writing the father's name next to the candidate is a solution, CIK spokesperson Maksida Pirić said that option is not possible.

- Only the candidate's first and last name are written on the ballots – said Pirić.  

For clarification, Salko Sokolović, the SBB candidate, has been a member of the Konjic Municipal Committee since June 19, 2014, while Salko Sokolović, the SDA candidate, is a long-time member of that party and president of the Cantonal Committee of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, writes Patria.

Among others on the lists for the upcoming General Elections, there are also several names from the world of film and sports. Thus, on SBB's list for electoral area 11 is actress Zana Marjanović, while Sabahudin Delalić, captain of the sitting volleyball national team, is the list holder for the Sarajevo Canton Assembly from SDA. Another athlete-candidate is on DF's list in electoral unit 4, Vlatko Glavaš, a former football national team player and coach.
