Mayoral Elections in Prijedor

(Patria) - Early elections for the mayor of Prijedor are being held today, and 130 polling stations will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM.

There are 14 candidates on the ballot for the election of the Mayor of Prijedor.

According to the voter list closed at midnight on November 22, 86,329 voters have the right to vote in the early elections for the Mayor of Prijedor, including 608 voters registered to vote in absentia who exercise their right to vote in person at the polling station in Prijedor, and 2,851 voters registered to vote by mail.

The race for victory will likely be between Goran Predojević, supported by DNS, SDS, and PDP, and SNSD candidate Slobodan Javor.

We remind you that the now former mayor, Dalibor Pavlović of SNSD, resigned after a scandal involving photos in which Pavlović was seen consuming pills and vomiting.

Although it is only one position, the results will still be an indicator of political forces in Republika Srpska.

Today's election day will also be monitored by observers from the Coalition "Pod lupom" (Under the Magnifying Glass).
