(Patria) - Speaker of the House of Representatives of the PA BiH Denis Zvizdić and his deputies Nebojša Radmanović and Borjana Krišto are expected today to appoint a parliamentary committee that would declare its position on the bill that would remove foreigners from the Constitutional Court. This bill was submitted to the procedure by representatives of HDZ BiH, SNSD, and other parties gathered around SNSD.
According to this proposal, the election of domestic judges would be carried out by the Presidency of BiH appointing three domestic judges to the Constitutional Court, two from Federation of BiH and one from Republika Srpska. The judges appointed by the Presidency of BiH would be confirmed by the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
Foreign judges in the Constitutional Court of BiH are the reason why SNSD is completely blocking the work of state institutions, namely the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
SDS President and representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Mirko Šarović has already announced that he will not support the Bill on the Election of Judges of the Constitutional Court of BiH, which were previously elected by the President of the European Court of Human Rights.
It is expected that this bill will also not be supported in the House of Representatives of the PA BiH by SDA, SBB, SDP, DF, A-SDA, Our Party, and the Independent Bloc.
