Face TV viewers chose: Nedžad Latić is the Person of the Year

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After several guest appearances on Senad Hadžifejzović's Centralni dnevnik, viewers of this television station chose Nedžad Latić, editor of the portal The Bosnia Times, as the person of the year.

“Nedžad Latić has never refused to appear on Face to Face and participate in TV duels with anyone, and therefore he deserves to sit here tonight, in this chair,” said Hadžifejzović in his introduction to the interview with one of the most prominent Bosniak intellectuals in recent years,” writes The Bosnia Times.

After the famous and probably most watched TV duel with Dževad Galijašević, it was an opportunity for two of the few Sarajevo journalists from the legendary wartime generation to talk in a relaxed manner, addressing burning and always dangerous political topics. After the departure of Senad Pećanin, the editor of the once-respected political magazine Dani, into journalistic exile, and due to the illness and relative withdrawal from active journalism of Senad Avdić, the editor of Slobodna Bosna, Hadžifejzović's interview with Nedžad Latić was seen by many as a real “media treat” and a release from the tedious clichés of intellectualizing and pontificating about our dramatically harsh reality.
