SARAJEVO, (Patria) - This morning in the Sarajevo settlement of Stup, members of the MUP KS Police Administration and the Service for Affairs with Foreigners conducted an operation to relocate migrants from a private facility that does not have a license to provide accommodation services. As confirmed by Mirza Hadžiabdić from the Public Relations Department of the MUP KS Police Administration for the Patria News Agency, 175 migrants were relocated from the facility.
Migrants have been relocated from this facility on multiple occasions, only to reappear after each operation. Residents of the settlement live in fear due to the large number of migrants and constant fights among them, and the police are very often called to intervene.
The migrants will be transferred to the Ušivak and Blažuj reception centers where identification, registration, and medical examinations will be carried out. The problem is that Ušivak and Blažuj are open-type centers, and migrants can leave the accommodation.
