Čolić and Gabela removed from Election and Appointment Committee, Damir Mašić no longer wishes to be a member

(Patria) - The Election and Appointment Committee of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH held a session today, and two members were replaced at the proposal of the Trojka parties and HDZ BiH to speed up the procedure for appointing Marin Vukoja to the Constitutional Court of BiH.

The head of the DF Club in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH, Mahir Mešalić, stated at today's session of this house that their committee member Dajana Čolić represented 12 DF deputies, the third party in this parliament, and that Elzina Pirić (PDA), who only represents her party in parliament, was proposed instead.

Instead of Edina Gabela (SBiH), Petar Galić (Hrvatski nacionalni pomak, which is part of the majority along with HDZ 1990) will join the Committee.

In this way, Trojka and HDZ are establishing control over the Committee, which will allow only one name to be presented to the deputies when it comes to electing a judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH.

As confirmed for Patria, Damir Mašić is leaving the Election and Appointment Committee, and Senad Subašić from his party should join instead.

The Committee has 11 members. The Trojka parties and HDZ have replaced two members from the opposition, and a rotation of a member from SDP has been made.

It is interesting that Irfan Durić from NES is also on the Committee, but no proposal has been made to remove him from the Committee, even though this party has fewer deputies than DF in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH.

The Committee members are: Mladen Bošković (HDZ, HSS SR, HSS, HSP), Damir Mašić (SDP), Aner Žuljević (SDP), Irfan Durić (NES), Edina Gabela (SBiH), Dragan Mioković (Naša stranka), Rasim Smajlović (Povjerenje, NIP, SPU), Eldar Čomor (SDA), Dajana Čolić (DF Željko Komšić), Goran Opsenica, and Dajana Frljić.

The proposal to change the Election and Appointment Committee has not yet been presented to the deputies, and until that happens, it will not be possible to submit the list for the election of a judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH.
