From a convoy under MUP RS escort, shots were fired from one of the vehicles as they passed through Potočari, Suljagić also commented

(Patria) - Shots were fired from a van that was part of a convoy of vehicles under the escort of MUP RS vehicles at the moment the vehicles were passing by the houses of Bosniak returnees in Potočari near Srebrenica. As confirmed for Istraga, the firearm was not shot towards a house, but the bullets were fired into the air.

This all happened on the occasion of Orthodox Christmas when local Serbs paraded with vehicles on the Bratunac-Srebrenica route on Saturday afternoon.

The Director of the Srebrenica Memorial Center, Emir Suljagić, also commented.

He stated that such things happen every year.

"This is mild compared to what it used to be. There used to be convoys of a hundred cars, automatic gunfire, hand grenades. Our misfortune is that we are on the west bank of the Drina, not the Jordan, so no one except us and a few journalists will protest," Suljagić stated.
